i was wondering if anyone has had much trouble with the spot slipping out of the sheath when you didnt want it to? also if you guys know of anyone that is making a belt style sheath that would be great, i think this would be a great utility knife as well and getting it out from under your shirt every time you need it can be a pain.thanks

I haven't checked, but I wouldn't be too suprised if the holes in the standard sheath wouldn't fit a TekLok of one size or the other. If not you could always drill another hole to make it fit.

As far as retention, Spyderco says they are weight testing the sheathes to make certain the S.P.O.T. will not come loose. I have heard people mention some that rattled, but no one has had the knife fall out. Mine is actually quite tight.

I have tested about 6 SPOTS to see if they would fall out of the sheaths and none did, out of those 6 only one was what I might call lose and lose really isnt the right word, not as tight might fit the situation better because the knife was tight enough not to fall out of it.

I'm going to send mine back.
It was loose when it arrived and now it's looser.
Yesterday I was able to get it to pop out of its sheath by bouncing it up and down on its chain, solely from its own weight.
