Spot welder

I've been thinking of spot welding bolsters on folders. What size unit would I need for nickel silver....1/8" to .04 liners? What is difference in the tongs available? Thanks. Is this a good idea?

They do tend to make a spot in the bolster that will finish a bit differently.
