Picked up a spotlight today from Home Depot and it is very nice. Only about $20, too.
It's the Husky brand (Vector I think is the maker but not sure) and has a 100w 12V H-3 halogen ultra white bulb that throw out 2.5 million candle power for at least 25 minutes continuous use on a full charge, according to the maker. It has a built in stand, a secondary small "area light" in the handle that operates independently, and works either cordless or corded and came with both an AC and a DC cord.
It seems ruggedly overbuilt and well designed, no problem using it outside in rough conditions.
What fun it is to be able to light up the tops of trees 1/2 mile away
Can't link directly to it but you can see the full specs by going to www.homedepot.com then search for spotlight. The red&black Husky is the one I got.
New toys are fun...
