Hi everyone.

I want to get a pair of Oakley sunglasses off e-bay, but how do I know if they are fake? This guy says he lost them, then bought another pair, then found his old ones, so he is selling them. He has a postive feedback score of 100 and has been a member since November '02. So, any advice?

If the deal seems to good to be true, it probably is. Also if the same guy is selling multiple different pairs, or has recently in the past I would guess they are fakes. Especially since he is claiming that it is a spare pair.

That'll be really hard, the only possible way would be to look at his feedback, and even that isn't bulletproof. With technology the way it is, you can't really tell from pictures or anything else what's legit and what isn't. It's hard enough when you're looking at the product in question. .

I bought the sunglasses today. The seller does have a return option, so I am not to worried. My main concern is whether they will fit. He is about my size, so I think they should be fine.

have seen a place in mexico that has literally thousands of fake oakleys, and some are pretty good fakes, would be hard to tell on some from pics. they run $15 or so IIRC.
