Hi everyone, I am relatively new to the forums and I'm pretty much a noob regarding knife maintenance. I just got into some higher end knives and I recently purchased a lightly used Direware S-90 from a forum member. In direct light today I noticed some discoloration/darker areas on the dark tumbled area of the knife. I've attached a picture of it below. Could it be rust or a rust precursor or is it just staining from something? Is there anything I could to to try and get it off, or to look more uniform? I tried to wipe it off with a dry cloth but it didn't do anything. Basically I don't know what to do or if I could even do anything about it. I know its cosmetic and in no way affects the function or the knife, but I'd like to know whats going on. Since getting it a few days ago it has not come in contact with anything other than nano-oil and has been sitting in a knife pouch. Thanks for reading and any insight!
