How do you verify an item is in stock and how do you claim the discount on the website? :confused:
 
I've sent an email to kancler asking him to clarify the terms of this sale. In the two when I've placed orders (the last two Christmas sales), I placed orders through the Web site and noted that I am a BladeForums member, with my username and an itemized listing of what prices for my order should be after the discount in the comments field. I was charged the discounted prices rather than the full price (although I had to pay by CC, not PayPal, and I felt the need to verify the actual charge because it felt like I was authorizing the full amount when I submitted the order form). I don't know if an order by email with Irish Sentry gets the same discount or not; you might try contacting him.

I had noticed the "comment" box on the checkout page, and was kinda thinking that was how it was done. Thanks for confirming that. I'm also supposing that he might be busy with the IWA show, and so wouldn't be very available until it's over. :confused:

I've got several ROS arms knives; they're a quality outfit. I think you'll like your Companion 2 a lot -- you've probably read Furync's review from November, so you know what to expect.

If they still had the Raccoon model, I'd use the discount to buy at least one more. It had spine cutouts similar to a Busse Groove Master, which looks weird but they're quite comfortable. There are two cutouts; the closest is shaped for a thumb, then immediately adjacent to it is a longer cutout that fits an index finger laid along the spine for increased blade control. The Raccoon was a slight recurve, but I'd really prefer that spine with a blade shape like the Picnic (but 3.5mm thick, possibly even a full 5mm) and with the birch bark handle.
 
Well, yesterday- after 5 days of my order being listed as "pending" on the order tracker on the website- I had been upgraded to "processing". :confused:

I am not impatient, or in any particular hurry for the knife, but the order still shows a charge for the full, non-discounted amount, and there has been no clarification offered in this thread. :confused:

I would just like to know what the processes and procedures are for dealing with ROSarms? I'm feeling a little in the dark right now.

Did anyone else place an order for a Spring Special? How's it going for you?
 
guys! Main reason for a discount was - POSSIBLE delays in all orders during IWA show... because everybody left...

Sorry for a delay but ALL orders were shipped with 25% discounts.

Website doesn't charge anything automatically, everything processed manually, especial credit cards. I think this is the best for our customers protection. (I used to play with some web stores when I was a student :D)

Only PayPal charges you automatically. But even if you pay thru PayPal I'm able to return 25% back to your account.

Edited to add- Whoa! My Companion arrived shortly after I posted this! :eek::confused::cool: I still don't understand the website- because it shows my order as still "processing" -but I do understand that I really like this knife and am very pleased with the speedy delivery and the awesome deal!
