Spring is here.........

Took a short hike after work today and came home with these:

I was talking to a bud today, and I was thinking that there would be some morels up in the areas where there is good all day sun - it has been sunny, warm, and moist at night around here.

Nice batch, I can see the bacon and scrambled eggs with morels - then the morel filet for dinner!

I will be out looking for some of those puppies now!

It's good to see the Keychain Companion helping to harvest them tasty Morel morsels.
I have to wait for the snow to melt to get to my favorite Morel grounds,usually sometime in May.

Nothing but rain here, everyday, so have not had a chance to get out looking for mushrooms.

Less than a week ago the "holler" I picked these in was covered in snow.

we haven't had any rain until today. hopefully they will start popping soon! nice haul. I love them fried and on top of filet or on top of a nice burger! aww who am I kidding lol. I just love morels!
