Spring Nor’easter Storm Damage, woods roaming, gear, food and camp

Lately on the East we’ve been getting hit by these late winter/early spring snow storms. In my area of NJ there has been a lot of tree damage in the cities and woods. As of now, another one is hitting and my flight to Georgia was just canceled. It is expected to get worse, but it really is a good time to get outside, as there are even less people!

Amazing how a small weather blanket tarp is sufficient for wind-blown snow.

Most of the dry wood is under snow, so the tedious sawing and splitting was necessary.

Mechanics key chain to use on my belt loop as a dangler because I never wear a belt!

Burtonsville Rig over the Hobo-Stove

Helped a friend build his camp

I keep this Smith’s sharpener in my camp for touch-ups

Snack for camp (eggs, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, cheese)

Peruvian Cookies. One of the first things I do when I arrive in Peru is get some Inca Kola and Casino mint cookies
