I have a problem with a spring in layer of bottle opener, can opener and awl. The spring is easily weaken and these tools are loose and shaky. Not broken!
The springs are 49 Rockwell hardness of steel!?

I was a little disappointed in the SAK.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Possible problems could be;

1. Pin has come loose on that end.
2. Liner may have cracked near the pin causing it to be loose.
3. Spring damage or failure.

The first two are more likely. You should send it in for warranty repair.

You could also pop the scales off (be gentle ... YouTube videos show how) and it might give you clues if you have damage to a pin or, maybe, to a spring.

Warranty repair is an option, if it's bad enough. Somewhat loose wouldn't bother me enough to bother, probably.

I've never had this problem with a sak but I would say send it in if it bothers you that much. :thumbup:

I believe that Pin has come loose. Brass was damaged by steel. Spring is not broken. Thanks.
When at the same time awl open with can opener it is stable and does not shake.
