We are pleased to announce that we're going to be having a spring rendezvous! Because we've named our fall rendezvous WAR, we decided to call this spring event PEACE (People Enjoying Another "Campradarie" Experience)! Now we'll be able to have annual celebrations of WAR and PEACE! I have to give credit to Muddyboots for giving us the idea for having a spring rendezvous. Not only that, but he's agreed to come up here to help us out--so we'll get to meet yet another fellow Hoodlum!! Wow!! We do plan on having seminars and/or demonstrations; Marty will be doing his wild plant seminars and Muddyboots has graciously offered to do something in this area. We'll also be planning some competitions (maybe fire starting and air rifle ,sling shot & staff slinging contests.). Every evening we'll have a huge campfire for everyone to enjoy. And of course a rendezvous isn't complete without a swap meet, so you can bring any outdoor/camping/survival related stuff you're trying to get rid of to sell or trade. We have a huge field where you can set up your tent. Campers are welcome but we have no electrical or water hookups. We do have toilet facilities. You can bring your own camp stoves or cook over one of the designated firepits. As with WAR this is a FREE, family friendly event so please bring your loved ones. Bring your friendly four-legged friends as well. The dates for this event will be 26-28 May 2007 (Memorial Day weekend). We certainly would welcome those of you who wish to come a day early (Fri, 25 May). We'll be posting more detailed information on our website (www.weteachu.com on our Newsletter page) as it becomes available. We're very excited about having yet another excuse to get together with our friends and meet new ones. Hope many of you can make it 'cause we'd sure like to meet some more of you good folks!

I once had a 25 foot Oldtown, wood & canvas WAR canoe. I still like calling them WAR canoes.

The nearest body of water is about 12 miles away(Chateaugay Lake). You may use your Red Ryder but there are going to be some pretty nice 177cal air rifles here in the competition.
