;) Bonjour friends knife lovers,
Here is a small batch of Take no kami that I made with custom blades by Benjamin Cardoso. The steel is 115w8 with nice temper lines and the sizes are in between 80 and 70 mm from the ricasso to the point. As usual, handles are made out of chinese bamboo root.
These are not thought as pocket edc's but rather my version of the fruit knife or, (as we like to do in France), folders designed to eat, that you can take to the most sophisticated restaurant or the most elaborate table. The principle is a shape of blade no too much pointed so that it is friendly to use in a plate, an extended ricasso so that sauces and juices don't get on the handle and the pivot, a lever that goes inside and a developed finger choil that makes the grip very secure as you hold the blade as much as the handle.

But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words :

Thank you for your interest :)

I can't stop staring closely at the knives, and then I start studying the photography: The skills never end.

What incredible carving and work on all fronts.

Are these headed for a show?

Thank you!

Those are really fantastic. I love the fact that I have never seen anything like them before. I keep reading that as far as knife design goes, there is nothing new under the sun, but I continue to see innovative designs like this and have come to not believe that. Thanks for posting these awesome images.

These are some of the more intriguing folders I have seen.....congrats on such a fine collaboration with Ben.

Wow very refreshing designs and beautifully sharp photography. Thanks for sharing them.

Thank you for your nice supportive comments, I always feels good that people far away like the little things I do. It is a precious incentive to do more and better.
