Hello
Its been a while that I havent posted here so there are quite a few pieces waiting to get your comments.
Let me start with this small collaboration with my friend Michel Grini who made me these exquisite blades out of XC75 carbon steel with a subtle hamon on each of them.
I tried to make three different handles, all, as usual, in Chinese bamboo root.
The first one is what I call a « seal knife », it has got a small ebony cap at the end engraved with bamboo leaves and can be used as an oriental calligraphy seal.

The second is done in what I call my « organic style ». Carved in such manner as to show the muscles of the bamboo root, its inner organs.

For the last one I used the tip of the root, the homing head that tracks under the earth. The intent was to make a very insectoid knife that reminds of a cocoon or a chrysalis.

I hope you like them. Thanks for your attention and interest.
