spring tension

Hello, I'm new to forums,but not knifemaking. My question is
how is the spring tension set on a slipjoint folder(pocket knife)??

Once the spring has been heat treated you can adjust the amount of tension by grinding away material from the inside of the spring.

OldGrinder, you need to email Maxtheknife and see if he has any copies of Bob Ogg's video left. The way Bob put tension on the spring was by moving the spring pivot hole in about 1/8".
