Spring is here, and things are looking great.

What does Spring look like in your neck of the woods ?

this is what is looks like near my house.

The bluebells are starting to fade, but you get the idea.

The Portland, Oregon area had a very wet winter this year. Now, we've done something extraordinary. We skipped spring. We've gone straight to summer. The result is that every tree and every plant is vigorous. Everything is blooming. Everything is growing. It's just wonderful.

This is a view from Mountain View Park from the top looking out south over Pompton Plains. Viewing distance is 20 miles.

Some flowers that were blooming through the forest floor.

We've had a record streek of completely sunny day's here in Rochester. but that looks to be all over today. looks like we're gonna get spanked by the rain the rest of the NE is getting.

Here in the upper MidWest, the spring bird migration has been in full swing for a good three weeks. A lot of the waterfowl have moved through already, but the songbirds are still coming. The species that nest here are back, and the ones that nest north of us are passing through. So for the next few weeks, it will be tremendous. Everything is in its breeding plumage and singing, so easier to identify. I take as many three-day weekends as my work schedule allows at this time of year, for outdoor activities...

Spring is starting to wrap up here.

In the past few weeks, the temperature highs have been in the mid/high 90's. Of course, it rained today, so it was nice and cool.

Wish I had a suitable camera so I could take some pictures for you guys.

It's hard to beat spring on the Nueces River in the Texas Hill Country. This shot was taken last spring on my brother's place between Uvalde and Camp Wood.

Goldtanker, based on the previous pics you've posted, I imagine that you'll have some fawns this spring also.

You're right Tarsier. I have seen 2 nursing does so far but it usually takes well into the summer before they bring the kids up to show them the food and the safe places. This is a pair from last year just before they lost their spots.

That makes me want to be floating the frio again. We were there for my best friend's wedding last summer and we're going back this summer. Lucky you, your brother lives in that area. I'm stuck up in the panhandle. But the good part is we have gotten some green stuff on the 700,000 acres that burned up here so I'm seeing some green and not the miles of black stuff I've seen since March 11th.

Most of Detroit looks like Beriut in 1986, That never changes reguardless of season. However, My lawn looks great, The trees are about 40% leafed out. The last of the migratory birds like ducks and geese are passing through. Lot's o rain in the last couple weeks. It's been mid 60's low 70's during the day and about 50 at night. My furnace doesn't turn on till about 6:00 am.

I went for a bike ride yesterday and took a few pics:

Can't have pictures of Iowa without a farm pic:

Some Iowa natives:

You can see the trail looping in this picture. A few years ago, I saw a big cat (Bobcat/Cougar/not sure what) right where the trail goes into the trees:

To Chicago, from Emeryville CA:

It's not Iowa unless you have neighbors who don't mow their lawn:

(last mowed 4 weeks ago)

Sorry if the pics are too big!
