I have a lock back folder that needs a little more spring for a snapper lock up and close.
The springs that i have been using are the flat ones that i get from Texas knife and i was wondering what do you folder makers wood suggest?
The knife is 440-C can i heat treat 1095 for a spring or is there something better?
Thanks in advance J R H.

1095 makes excellent springs. I use it 95% of the time. My springs have a LOT of snap!
