I love the P'Kal and a lot of Spyderco knives are getting the sprint treatment.
Later this year we should be seeing a sprint yojimbo 2 with s90v and carbon fiber (which I hope to own). We've seen a s110v manix (Not a sprint but still s110v wow) and Native 5. A few super steel pm2 sprints.

How about a P'kal sprint with S90V, S110V, or maybe 3v and textured carbon fiber. I think that would be incredible and I would love to own one.
Thoughts and opinions?
 
I always enjoy reading your creative ideas, but I'm not sure about this one. Do you use your pkal for utility?
I've never even handled one but it seems like the kind of knife you carry and train with, and keep razor sharp until its needed for self defense. Then it would be in an evidence locker for some time until you hopefully get it back to sanitize and resharpen.

I don't see the need for extreme edge retention if that's the case.

Wouldn't mind a dodo xl like you created though. :-)
 
I would rather see more manix 2 xl sprints. I missed out on most millie, para 2 and manix sprints but if the manix 2 xl had the same variety of sprints like xhp, 204p, m390, 20cp, m4 and so on like the other models I wouldnt miss out on them this time and not be lusting over disco'd models that are now going for 2-3x the retail price.
 
I keep my P'kal as a tool and last resort. I only really use it to show how sharp I can get my knives.
I just love the design and I would keep the sprint as a "look how awesome this thing is", and then put it back in the box. But why turn down a stronger steel especially if for defense.

I know it may never happen because they make so many incredible knives that deserve this sprint treatment. But I was playing with it last night and I thought how cool would it be to have a sprint P'Kal.
 
I have said before that I will buy all XL sprints/exclusives offered, so I really hope they only offer a few of them.

I don't think S90V is "stronger" than S30V per se, but I could be wrong about that. Not into the P'kal design at all, so I wouldn't be interested in this sprint, but there's definitely a fan base for every unique spyderco design so I'm sure you have some people in your corner.

On the topic of "self defense leaning" designs, I think there would be a lot of interest for a PPT sprint, this time with Ti liners and standoffs.

Would it be possible to thread a G10 back spacer for the clip screw? If so I'd love a black one...
 
I'd like to see what a Dodo with a wharncliffe or leaf blade would be like. Or if it would even work with the handle.
