Was I hallucinating,or has someone somewhere confirmed a Sprint Run Orange G-10 Dodo?

of cause
The orange is still a few months out. We’re planning plain edge on both Sprints. The second run will be Carbon Fiber but most likely won’t come until late 2012 and will be the same number of pieces. We did update our engineering for better quality and consistency. Some changes included a blind pin to the backspacer for strength and a machined spine as opposed to bead blasted.

Since you're new, we'll forgive you. ;)

Spyderco does not give release dates in advance. Delays can happen, and people seem to take it as a personal insult when they miss a projected date rather than rush knives out that aren't ready. It happened in the past, it may happen again in the future, but for now the release dates are simply "When they're ready", or "They're shipping to dealers now".

Welcome to the forum!

Mmmm. I've wanted a Dodo for awhile now. I noticed on bladeHQ that there's only an "Email me" link. Preorders up for it?

preorders were up, with a $5 deposit required. i sent mine in just before i made that post
edit: knifecenter has a preorder up

Just placed my order for one. Looks like BladeHQ already sold out.
I like that no changes to the overall design were made. The people
asked and Spyderco delivered :)

So who else is excited to finally get a Dodo in their hands? I hear theres a carbon fiber sprint in the works later in the year also.
Looks like a few retailers are already sold out on preorders. Does anyone know how many are going to be made in this run?
Also any guesses when it hits stores.

I am very happy to (hopefully) get this knife. It had already discontinued by the time I got interested in Spyderco knives. It has read like an urban legend. Everything about it does not make sense to me looking at it, but like with many Spyderco knives, you don't get it, til you get it.

I am definitely picking one of these up at some point. At one point 5 years ago when you could easily get Dodo's for $65-80 I owned 4 of them. I sold off all of them before they became valuable and I kick myself everytime I think about it.
