I recently acquired this knife and so far I have to say I am very impressed. I have mainly benchmades and a few cheap knives. So far I find the texture of the scales to be excellent, the action to be butter smooth and the blade is very sharp out of the box. I will be putting a wicked edge on it after some use and comparing the factory edge to the edge obtained by the wicked edge. This knife is my new edc and will be used on camping trips for small tasks suited to a folder. I have only had it for two days so I don't have much to report thus far but I have used it to cut some corse rope and to open some letters. The performance of the S35VN is fantastic. My next knife will be a sprint run PM2 with M390, yes I am already looking ahead to my next purchase.

Great looking knife . I am so tired of black micarta/G 10. The brown looks very natural. Use it in good health.

I agree I am so over the black scales, unless it's carbon. The brown is a very nice shade that is very natural looking. The blue scales of the M390 version will match my arcteryx jacket nicely however.

Very nice acquisition. I am not over the black G-10 just yet, but I do like the brown scales very much, especially on the PM2. Fantastic!

By the way, your first pic is very nice. I really like the lighting there. Impressive.

I wish I could take credit but I lifted those from the for sale ad. I will take some good pics of it soon enough.

I think I am going to change it to tip up carry, only because I keep trying to put it in my pocket that way and it's getting annoying to have to fish it out of my pocket so I can turn it around. That and tip up will make it easier to open using the middle finger flick method.
