Got my shipping notification on Monday for my Spyderco CF/M390 Military then read where the ZT 0560/61 are real close to shipping here in the states, (also have a 0560 on preorder).

Ok, that might be two CC hits this month. Then I remembered the Spyderco Orange PM2 I preordered and the new BM 62 I also have on preorder and it just struck me that if things go well or maybe badly I could be in really hot water with the wifey.

Anyone else find themselves in this kind of a good/bad situation. Didn't realize my addiction was this bad. Kinda wishing I'd popped for a bigger Valentines Day gift to smooth the way.
 
I'm not that bad, but I am bad at times. I've just recently started pre-ordering knives, and I can see where it's going. I want to pre-order the 0560 so bad, but I keep telling myself to wait till they hit the markets heavier or when some blems pop up. :) I have to really force myself to not go trigger happy on knives. I keep making up excuses for why I need the next knife.

Oh man I'm on the same boat as you badhammer! I have the m390 military and zt 0560 on preorder as well as the orange para! They're all coming in seemingly all at once!

If the ZT 0777 comes too I'd be beyond broke. @_@;

It's so misleading when you preorder you're like oh 5-20 bucks? No problem that's nothing, and I'll have the money when the time comes! But then they all conspire together and release them all at once and clean out your pockets lint and all.
 
I know what you mean. The 0560 and the CF/M390 were preordered quite a while ago and I just figured they'd hit sometime but not real close together. The BM63 preorder just says "coming soon" so that could be this month or not. The Orange PM2 doesn't give an estimated date of release. Worse case this will be an $800+ month for knives. At this rate the wife might need to consider a 2nd job!
 
Yes, limited editions and sprints are extremely dangerous. You must choose wisely? I've had as many as 4 knives on preorder and they all get charged at the same time. That was a rough 2 weeks. Luckily, ramen soup is inexpensive. :D
 
I have a couple of preorders in, the BM 810 Contego, and the BM 62 Balisong. I always, well almost always, do my knife buying at the end of the month, so if something comes available before then the people I shop with, and have been for years, just put it back until I'm ready for it. Super bunch!!

Oh yeah, that's why I don't really worry about when a preorder becomes available since I know it will be there when I'm ready to get it.
 
Darn it anyway. Just remembered that I ordered an LE Buck 124 that could be done this month or next. Don't know how I forgot about that one? Maybe I should put a good divorce lawyer on retainer?
 
Yea I know. I preordered the Orange Dodo 2 days ago. I told myself not to buy a new knife til march/april. :/

Maybe, but won't that only tie up more funding for knives? :)
 
I know what you are saying. Between Spyderco, Zero Tolerance and Busse, I've got a lot of money promised out in preorders but they're gonna be so worth it. :o
 
yeah just made the payment for the CF/M390 mili, i'm on the list for the ZT0561 which i'm assuming will be dropping soon......I'm telling my wife that i won't be getting any more knives for 2012 buuuuuuuuuuut I think i'm lying to her. :p
 
I'm doing ok in this regard. Just received the CF Military today, and am on the list for orange and brown Para Military 2's. Thats it. For me, the ZT0561 is just not worth the coinage ($260), and I'm not paying $480 for any knife (ZT0777) unless it has Ariel Tweto's scent on it, so that makes things easier.
 
I've got the M390 Military on the way, and the Orange P2 is on preorder. I'm waiting to see how people like the ZT561. Probably will pass on the S90V Southfork, just don't need that expensive a kitchen knife. On the other hand, the Rodent4 and the Sarge7 are both tempting Bussekin. Yeah, it can get ugly.

Speak of the devil, the ELMAX Mule is coming up now.

I got bashed up this month too. The R-Nishijin & M390 Millie caught me still recovering from two Tuffknives rescales. After going broke over Christmas I had to get it out of my system. It also frees up more of my tax return money if I get it bought before the return hits my bank. Good times...
 
Yeah, VISA is gonna love me for the next few months *sigh* but when I actually have them in hand, I'm sure I'll feel better about it. At least that's what I tell myself.
 
I wish I had this problem. I would have jumped all over the para 2 xhp preorder but I just dont trust a knife coming across the border that cant have its pivot locked down. Hopefully I will be able to get my hands on one..
 
Well, now we can add the Green G10 CTS-204P Para-Military2 to our woes. ;)
