Sprite for Etching

I jist recently revisited russian web site for knifmaking.
Found there very interesting way to etch blade - using just Sprite.

To do this you need to remove fat by acetone and put blade in Sprite overnight. It is important to get rid of bubles first.

I like to try this on my Lauri PT blade over this night.

It works.

I should sand blades before etching - this time I just use acetone, but it was not enough. However it is fun to use somethin like this to do etching. I think I may put some picture on blade if I cover it by wax and scratch something through.
