Spyder card?

I carry mine 24/7 in my wallet. It lies very flat (no clip attached) and I don't even notice it's there. I carry it for those rare occasions when I forget my EDC, but really need a knife. While those times don't happen often, I've been really glad I had it when they did occur.

Very discrete carryable, non-frightening and suitable for the most cutting tasks. I always have a Spydercard in my wallet.

I have also been thinking about buying one (to go-along with my other 3 "EDC" knives), so any short reviews here would be a help.:).

Something nice to have in your collection too as they are very well built and pack a significant length of blade for their all their compactness. Unlike the others reporting above, I stopped carrying mine simply because it was too heavy, almost 4 ounces. I could really feel the difference in my wallet pocket. Besides... My wallet already has a single edged razor blade, some ultra-fine steel wool (for tinder) and a small ferrocium rod. Still it weighs no more than 6 ounces and usually a little less.

I carry mine in my personal notebook. It's just a tad to heavy for my wallet. But that's the only negative thing I can think of. As mentioned above, alot of blade for the compact size and plenty of handle too. I like the handle blade configuration and the lock seems adequately strong! To cost efficient not to have one IMO.

I love the spydercard for certain applications.

First, general impressions. The 6A blade is extremely thin and comes astoundingly sharp. The piece overall has great spyderco quality. The knife has both a straight edge and a sharp point, which sets it aside from most other credit card knives, in a positive way in my experience (for this type of knife, this is exactly the kind of blade I want). Lastly, a note about expectations: the main design critereon was obviously getting the form factor, so ergonomics obviously are sacrificed -- if you judge it based on what it is, you may end up loving it, like I do.

Okay, now about how to carry it. I never carry it in my wallet, I like to keep my wallet light and thin. Instead, I carry the SpyderCard by itself in a back pocket, or in a front pocket. It is extremely comfortable and practically unnoticeable in either place. I've carried it in jeans, dockers, bathing suits w/ pockets, and it's more comfortable to carry than a traditional knife in any of those. Don't get hung up on it being a "wallet knife" -- it is, in fact, a flat knife that IMO is best carried outside the wallet, and excels in carryability when carried that way.

The SpyderCard hasn't replaced my endura or 710 in all situations, but it does often supplement it.

Mine is always in my wallet - kind of a last ditch blade...I often forget its there...but should someone ever ask for my wallet - he'll get it...(if he goes pass my gun, FB knife, Gunting and EDC, that is)

I used to carry mine all the time, until my wife gave me a new wallet. Now it stays in the safe with the others. I got the combo edge, and it just looks wicked for a CC knife.

It's my last ditch knife, a knife that I always know it's there but rarely use it. Had it about a year, I've never sharpened it, and it still shaves hair.
:D

Ithink the design is pretty good. It is supposed to sit in a credit card slot, but IMHO it is too heavy, and too thick for a credit card

My wallet is already too thick and too heavy:rolleyes:

My Spydercard 50/50 is, what I consider, a backup EDC to my backup EDC.;)

I usually carry mine in wallet, and keep it razor sharp, in case the need arises for a blade and I 'forget' my others(quick run to store, etc.). It's a great CC knife, I'd recommend it to anyone. :D

I had a heavy cardboard carton to cut up for the dumpster recently, and I didn't want to use my Sebenza on it. It was really coarse board which had come with furniture inside it. I used my plain-edge Spydercard. It sliced through so easily I didn't notice the ergonomics. I got a good grip for pulling it through the material. The edge didn't need touching up either. (But I did anyway :))

Very nice knife. Great as an EDC. Doesn't take up a lot of space and good quality.
