Hi All. After an insane folder quest, and MANY folders later... I'm back to Spyderco. It's the Hole. There are other factors, like excellent quality and all that stuff. But for me, it's the hole...it's Spyderco.
Spyder Wisdom...Never sell your Spyderco...you'll come back to it.
Rolf

You got that right, David. Knives don't take up a lot of room in your drawer. ;)

Yep I love the hole to Rolf:thumbup:

I still have and use(at times) my Endura from the eighties. My sebenza's and Millie gets the most pocket time, but I still use that old Endura often for fishing.

Good stuff, Ken.
I got rid of my original Endura, too.
Note to Rolf: Knives are an investment! ;)

I agree Lycosa - the Spyderco opening hole is what I really love. There are a lot of other nice folders out there that I am always tempted to try, but I gotta have the hole. Thanks for the wisdom and reminder.

The Spyder hole is my first choice (among many) that I continue to use Spyderco. The thumb studs on other knifes I just simply hate. I can't use them any more

Welcome back to the wonderful world of Spyderco Lycosa.
Keep a few Spydies tucked away for emergencies.
They're excellent users' that you will appreciate time and again.:D

Welcome back Lycosa....My primary EDC's are a PE Millie and a SE Para or D2 Para. I'm ambidextrous, but even with my weaker left hand Spydies are the easiest to open for me. The 14mm Spyderhole is the shit!!

I carried Benchmades for the longest time, but only on the strong side. A lot of the early BM's are nearly impossible to open left handed. I have a few that I love but don't carry any longer, like the BM/Emerson 975. It's impossible to left hand the 975.

Thanks, OO.
I'm embarrassed to mention how many folders I have accumulated.
You have a nice rotation going on there.

Rolf,

Round and round, huh? :D

My first real knife was an all-stainless Spydie. I forget the model but it was a basic one. However, the all-stainless construction, pocket clip and opening hole were real novelties back then and convinced me that this company was something special.

A few days later I was back in the shop and traded up to a Provenator... and haven't looked back since...

Since then I have owned several Spydies including the Harpy, Native, Terzuola, Police, Chinook II, Scorpius, several Militaries and Para-Militaries and one of their kitchen knives.

Great knives from a great company!

Round and Round is correct, Mark. Will it EVER stop? Maybe this time.
Got a pic of the Prov?

Rolf, it is loooong gone my friend. We are talking almost 20 years back now...

It looked a lot like the Spur, another model that is no longer made.

I also had another one called the Blackhawk, which is no longer made. I was trying to remember all the models I've owned over the years and forgot that one. And the Mariner! Had one of those too at one point.

I guess there must be a resource somewhere on the net with all the Spydie models listed. They have made a staggering number.

Ones I would still like to own include the Civilian and the Terzuola Starmate in PE. I wouldn't mind a G-10 Police either.... or an all-black Millie come to think of it. :D
