Spyderbali at the Blade Show?

Well, since everybody's bein' so damn cryptic about the Blade Show I might as well be direct...

Was the Spyderbali on display? I gather that it was, but everybody's been evasive. Any info to share? What's it look like? How does the catch work? How's the Spyderhole integrated? Anything else unique about it?

C'mon, folks, we po' people wanna know these things, too!

And while we're at it, what's up with the "new" Native? Just different steel? No swedge? Or (dare we hope) the "Native Chief"? Inquiring minds want to know!

The bali was not on display at the show.

The new Native will be 3D in shape.

H Grover, Sorry aout the bali not being visible yet.

Pachuks. The concept of 3D shape as opposed to a flat sided handle. Some of our newer models will be trying out a contoured handle shape that is more ergonomic to use. The downside of a 3D kife is that they always end up thicker in the pocket. We'll have to see ELU reaction to the concept.

Don't get me wrong; I understand the reason for the no-photos policy (not <i>certain</i> I agree with it, but it's not my decision, is it?

The only thing I'd like is a basic, tentative description of the things that make it special. Some idea of what makes the Spyderbali "not just another balisong", y'know? I'm most interested in the clasp. I've heard some conflicting reports, and I'm just plain stumped.

And, of course, if there's no more information forthcoming, I guess I'll just keep on waiting. It can't be <i>that</i> long 'til pics are available, right?
