spydercard modifications

Just received my plain edge card from my distributor. I echo Fred Perrin's views. However, if one was going to use this as a last resort self-defense weapon, the point seems ineffective. I was wondering - if I beveled the short upswept part of the blade above the point - would I have a better sticking edge?

Fred - did you make any modifications to the point?

Fred - did

I can't imagine the card as a practical self defense option last resort or otherwise, and this has nothing to do with its penetration potential.

Where do you keep yours? I keep mine in a credit card slot in my wallet. Even if I still have my wallet when I decide my life (and not just my money) is at stake and I'm going to try to use a knife, how could I possibly expect to deploy the card quickly?

I view it more as a high quality potentially concealable utility knife than as a defense weapon.

Hey Skarb....

hey Skarb,
well in my point it is pretty easy to use the spydercard as weapon of last resort.
first you can carry it in your front pocket of your shirt, second its capability is in cutting and slashing and not in stabbing.
like a stright razor which can inflict a siriuos damage without sttabing.
i hope it helps.
