Spydercard ok to take on a plane?

Although there are no guarantees (it depends on the security guard and the instructions they've been given), the Spydercard should make it through no problem, provided it's a plain edge. It's well-under the 4" FAA limit, and doesn't look menacing at all. I took mine on a recent trip to Hawaii, but left it in my wallet, and put the wallet in the little tray. I did pull it out and use it in front of the guys checking for agriculture (don't know who they work for), who didn't bat an eye.

I took air travel into consideration when I bought my wife and myself a pair of plain edged SpyderCards recently (we like'em a lot, BTW). I can't, for the life of me, understand why they have this thing against serrated at airports...
I also agree with Joe about leaving it in your wallet and putting it the tray.

[I spent 4 weeks in Europe this September. With that in mind, I placed the spydercard in my wallet ( I had to remove 3 credit cards for a good fit). I went thru 3 airports- Buffalo International, Balt/Washington, and Brussels twice. I was stopped in Europe twice - my new mechanical hip didnt like the detectors. I was scanned over my whole body and my luggage was checked. I simply placed my wallet with my change in the small tray. No problems. The knife came in handy but the tip did bend slightly.
