Boy, Alco you have hit on one of my favorite subjects! I love my Spydercard! I took it on a trip a year ago and it was one of the handiest tools I took. I used this fishing trip to upper Michigan to test several of my knives for various tasks including cleaning fish. What really surprised me was how well the Spydercard did. No, it is not a chopper, but it will create enough wood shavings to help make a fire. It cuts through paracord, and Spiderwire like it isn't even there! And talk about filleting fish... This was one area that really amazed me. I filleted about 35 sunfish, a couple of bass, and a few perch with the Spydercard and it was still sharp! Being stainless it was easy to clean up as well.

Would I go in the woods with this as my only blade? No, but you may rest assured that it is in my back pocket whenever I leave the house. For those small tasks which make a larger blade uncomfortable this is a great tool. I have one in my pocket, one in my daypack, and I am thinking of putting one in the buttstock of my NEF Survivor (although the REKAT Utility already lives there) simply because it is stainless. I guess you could say I like it.

(Sorry forgot to mention that all mine are plain edge!)

I have the partially serrated model and have likewise found it surprisingly strong and versatile. The lock is amazingly secure for such a light and slender knife. It is great when you are wearing a fitted suit and don't want a thicker knife in your pocket.

I have a partially serrated one. carry it in my mini kit. also travel in it. slip it into your wallet, and when you go thru the detectors at the airport, just put your wallet in the basket of "pocket" stuff, and it doesn't have to go thru the detectors. no hassles. works wonders for such a simple design. strong lockup, and stainless. good combo. Busse should make something similar...

I'd love to see either Spyderco or Mission make something like the Spydercard in titanium. That could be really light and thin! Unfortunately, it would probably cost an arm and a leg.
