Hi All

just bought the new spydercard - designed by the late Edoardo Bardichianski a friend and great collector and designer.

How about a titanim version, painted gold so it will really look and feel like a credit card????

i know at least 3-4 of my friends will join me in buying one.

what do you say???

 
Blilious - We consiered that originally, but cost would be high and we don't think the volume would carry the project.

Perhaps in the future after we see the result of the market reaction.

how expensive can this get? i will be happy to pay US$ 150 for such a knife.

is there a chance of ordering a custom made version?

know anyone who could do that as a one time order?

i wish Edoardo was around... i could phone him and ask him...

 
Blilious - Scorpio had asked for a gold plated version. we had planned a small batch of gold ones (Ti-gold). a "Gold SpyderCard".

They won't be titanium. If you're interested, contact Scorpio...We can make a batch for him if the number is sufficient to meet minimums. I'm sure there are a few in the club that would be interested in such a piece. Perhaps we could engrave something as well? I have one of the Club's pins. (with the 3 swords in the shield). That might make a nice engraving? In memory of Eduard also engraved? Let me know your thoughts. Could be a fun project.

A gold plated spydercard sounds great, and the engraving idea is also cool.

Does the amount I suggested sounds reasonable?

"In memory of Edoardo" (he was Russian - and his name was pronounced EdoardO)

The main reason for the Titanium is of course the weight - this way it will look and feel like a credit card and won't attract any attention.

Is there another material that can do the same?

now that you know who is scorpio i can tell you that a special batch made by spyderco should be in the hundreds at least.
can you sell so many at $150?
i siriously doubt the possibility of a titanium spydercard will happen,but who knows? stranger things happend..

There used to be a drug store chain here called Thrifty. They changed their name to Osco for a time...till they found out in spanish its a synonym for bilious. (sorry)
