I purchased a Spyderco Spydercard. I tried to place it in my wallet as advertised. No way, will it fit. Anyone have this same problem? Any suggestions on EDC methods?
Thanks,
Prof. Ed

I don't like to carry much heavy stuff in a wallet, and I use my Spydercard as a utility knife in my medical kit now, anyway. But when I first got it, I carried it around to see what I could use it on, and at the time I just dropped it in a jacket pocket. It's not going to open accidentally, and it's easy to find. It would probably work real well in a vest pocket.

I use a Bosca regular bi-fold wallet with the extra passcase that is removable. It is in alligator. Very well designed and made. What kind of wallet do you use to make the 'card" fit?

I bet it would fit in T.H.E. Wallet! :D I just tried it in a current wallet, a rayskin bifold, and it fits perfectly. I also held it next to a regular credit card, and it was exactly the same size, except that the Spydercard's corners are more rounded than the credit card's, which stuck out behind it.

You may just have a tight-packed Bosca :)

No problem with it here... and my wallet is packed with ID. It is a Levi's Dockers wallet I got from my girlfriend for my birthday. It definitely could pack a punch since it is heavy and serve as a fistload. Only have to remove it when I go to court or the airport so as to not spook security.

I'm carrying a "Canadian Peacekeeper" wallet. Same guys who make my FMPs and watch strap.

3 section folding, I carry the 'card under the ID section. When folded, it's the centre section, so it doesn't get banged up at all. Fits nicely, if I don't have any ID in it's rather loose though.

Went through Edmonton International with it in August 02. It went through the scanner(along with my minimag(2 AA), Zippo, keys, briefcase, and pens), and they only asked my to open my briefcase. Nothing said about the 'card, but I forgot to take the zippo fuel can out of the briefcase before hand and they grabbed that. The Swisstech UtiliKey and Buck Minitool stayed on my keys.

I carry mine in a leather and nylon wallet, no problem, it's been there so long I don't even notice it.

It's there essentially, as a back up, it rarely comes out but when I've needed it it was there.:D

Mine is there for the "empty pocket" syndrome... the times you some how forgot to grab your EDCs

Wife won't let me out of the house with a 4" folder, have ta go to court, gotta pick the kid up at school, all legitment reasons for leaving your EDC's behind, but how on earth do you forget them?

did it once. I was tired, I crashed, woke up, figured my cothes needed washed, and forgot to grab my EDCs from beside thwe washing machine when I changed. Went to the store, and noticed my EDCs were missing when I went for my wallet.
