I dropped my opened endura about two stories and it landed on the blade spine and now I can close it with manual pressure. I think I need a new spring. Have you ever broke one of you favorite knives?

nope, but i have lost one. My poor little buck executive got left on the bus (i think so anyways). In any case, it was the knife that got me carrying again. I miss the little sucker.

When I saw the title I was wondering if there was some sort of problem with the manufacture, which doesn't seem to be the case with Spyderco. 2 story drop will do it.

Never broke a knife yet, though I did crack a sword once--a story for a different thread.

Good luck getting it fixed, or replaced.

It does sound like the spring is broken.

Do you mind if I ask how it fell two stories?

I acidently dropped it while cutting old rope from the stair wells. sorry i did not tell.:grumpy:

Next time use a lanyard, mate. :-)

Spyderco will probably fix it, but you should think about how much money the repair and shipping will cost vs getting a new one.

Score!

The silver lining opportunity/excuse.

Now you have a perfect reason to purchase a WAVED Endura.

All the best,

oregon
