I sent my Shaman back to Spyderco several weeks ago to have them fix the vertical blade play. I was getting noticeable movement and audible clicking no matter how I adjusted the pivot screw.

The UPS man showed up today. Inside the box was a brand new Shaman with no issues. Very impressed with Spyderco’s service.

Even though I'm not a huge comp lock fan I may need to get one of these. I'm waiting on the amalgam so I can see which one I like more.

Spyderco's warranty has been great the 2× I've used it.

I've used their warranty once and they are the industry standard. Glad to see they took care of you like that.

I own mostly Spyderco knives but have used their warranty service far less than other brands. When I have, it has always been top notch.

I've only ever used their warranty once and they were terrific to deal with, even though I was an idiot and just sent the knife along with a letter explaining the problem and didn't contact them by phone/web first. (Know better now, obviously, but haven't needed the warranty in the 8 years since.) This is one of the big reasons why I own so many Spyderco knives, almost to the exclusion of any other brand.

I came so close to ordering it last year before price increase and with 10% off coupon, and regretted it ever since. I love everything about this knife, but I like my manix2xl and Millie’s too. Glad you got taken care of!

I have only needed to use the warrantee once, on a Byrd, and then did not because the cost of shipping was more than the cost of the knife by several times. However, Sal was going to take care of me.

I love the looks of the Shaman, but I would have preferred a back lock like the rest of the Native family.
