I am trying to figure out what Clip Finish the 15V's have.

Is it Stonewashed or Bead Blasted or a different finish? Just wanting to get a deep carry clip from LynchNW but need to match it

On the Shaman, it appears to be stonewash. The surface is too smooth for any sort of bead blast (that give more of a matte finish and a rougher surface).

The Manix and PM2 are the regular shiny clips.

I knew I should’ve asked you! Thanks for letting me know

You mean sandblasted.

Beadblast is actually really smooth. ;)

This was a regular titanium clip without color that got scuffed up a bit. I do like how it matches, but I ended up going with a black deep carry clip as it is more hidden. *Got mine from Amazon.
The other black variant I got has bigger wider opening at the back of the clip than the silver one. It helps because this manix has larger, more protruding screws as opposed to my pm2.

Smooth, yes, but will have a felt texture similar to frosted glass. Almost chalky like. Also depends a bit on the blast media.

I use high grit beads…so I get a really smooth finish.
Same grit with my A/O gives me a frosted glass feel.

I suppose it's possible I've never felt a steel finished with high-grit glass beads like you describe. What I've seen used reminds me of the reflective "sand" they use on street paints. Probably ~0.020" diameter or so.

Ah! Yes. Sounds like A/O media blast.

I think it was just a mix up of the media name. :) All good. I wasn’t trying to call you out. :)

We're all good. The media I was familiar with definitely glass, not Al. Oxide. Finer "polish" than AO (and breaks down into a finer white powder eventually), but still had that frosted feel to me (similar to the Busse Double-Cut finish if you're familiar, maybe a touch smoother).

I apologize…I should have been more clear. I use ceramic beads.
I have no experience with glass bead.
I learned something new today. 👍🏼

Haha. That makes sense. I could see that definitely being different. 👍

Looks more like a tumble finish rather than media blast
Agreed, which is what I originally said.

Yes. SpyderPhreak SpyderPhreak was correct with the finish on the clip. :)

I was just discussing media finishes. Sorry to hijack the thread for a second. :/

Had a better look ar the clip.

...Maybe I misunderstood your original post. The spyderco original clip was just shiny.
