Wondering what is instore for spyderco in the coming year, any design changes, new knives, upgrades, collaborations, different steels or grinds? There are a few folders I want to buy but don't want to see the knife is improved a month down the road.

Thanks alot, this link helps. I already ordered the catalog but it will take about 4 weeks to recieve it. This link also answered my question about the lionspy (lion steel/spyderco collaboration) that I asked about in general discussion.

Hi BEANTOWN, Nuckingfuts,

Welcome to the Spyderco forum. Thanx for visiting.

Much of the information about what Spyderco is doing shows up on our forums. Most of this information doesn't hit the general forums as our product line and designs appeal to some, but not most of the knife people.

We work with our customers on the forums to help develop designs and materials to better serve their interests. We have special projects like our "Mule Teams" for which almost all of the information comes though our forums.

It's a very user friendly group, as you will find, and they know quite a bit about Spyderco and our designs. More like a big family than a business relationship.

I've also seen reports that, if all goes according to plan, the Tuff and Laci Szabo folder will be released sometime in the summer.

Thanks sal, ill tell you what ive always have had a fascination with knives but havent got into them until recently. Im 22 yr old now and still remember when i was ~12 yr old my dad would get this knife catalog and I always loved your knives. Your logo is what always caught my eye, and ever since then ive wanted a spyderco.

Flash forward to now, I just got my first spyderco (first good quality knife as well besides gerbers ect.) for christmas, a delica 4. i knew I was getting for christmas for the last few months and it was KILLING me i was so excited to open it i felt like i was a kid again!I absolutely love the knife and looking forward to buying many more spydercos.

The one thing I was telling my dad the other day about your company is how connected you are with your customers. I was telling him that you post on the forums and take suggestions and ideas on your products. I think its wicked cool sal, and I hope you and your family the best.

Have a good holiday!
