Just in case anyone is interested, they are on sale at Spyderco's webite. I picked up a couple for the heck of it.

No! Don't tell anyone, I'm planning to order one on payday but I'm afraid they'll be sold out! ;)

Oops.. Sorry Davidfs. I ordered mine first before I spread the word.:D. Hope you score one.

Haha, well congrats! I haven't actually been looking for a native 5 right now, but I've not used an s90v knife yet and I like the color so I figure if it's still available Thursday I'll pick one up!

Same here, this will be my first folder in S90v, I have a Sprig with S90v which performs really well.

It rotates through my pocket about 1 day per week. Only seen light use and have not had to retouch it. I generally have my Manix on me during weekend yard work/chore time which absorbs most of my knife abuse. I have to say I have been quite impressed with it though. I picked it up on a whim, but would not now willingly part with it. It locks-up so solid with the best noise and disappears in the pocket. I like the color too.

It's an interesting combination...a small knife, FRN scales, no liners...seems like rather "economical" (i.e. cheap) construction, but then they put in the top-class S90V blade-steel which blows my mind. Anyway, yeah, I have two, but have not carried one yet.

Carry it!! Native is a great design and at the sale price I don't worry about using it. I'm a bit surprised they have been on sale for so long. Wonder if they made more than in the past or if there just wasn't demand for them. Works out great for us though to get a knife in that steel at that price point.

Exactly, when I first read the specs I was scratching my head. I'm excited to get them none the less. I will be using one of them for sure. It will kick the Mantra out of my pocket as my truck knife for a while.

I've been thinking about getting one. There are a lot of Natives to choose from. This one, the S110V FRN and the S110V Blurple. Not to mention S35VN FRN. If there was free shipping on the S90V I think that would have pushed me over the edge. :) No pun intended.

Just order 2, get the free shipping and sell the other if you need to recoup the cash.

Nice! Can't wait to try it. Looks like it has good ergos, little thicker than the delica. I like the swedge. Good deal for s90v, only about $8-10 more than the s35v black FRN native. Probably only worth if just like to try different steels or maybe as a collector piece down the road.

Is the discount code still working on these, it was 2015FORUM or something, been a while since I grabbed mine.
