Spyderco Air

Its going to be one classy knife. Almost reminds me of a slipjoint. I don't get why they needed to put 2 cutouts in the liner, one should be enough.

Yep, I would want a clip to. I want a clip on any modern designed knife for right pocket carry. My traditional slipjoints go in my left pocket.
It is a very good looking knife though.

I couldn't have said it better myself :-)

This is probably the only "modern" knife I will buy this year... It looks that good. Frankly, I kind of like that they're not doing a clip, though a small lanyard hole would have been nice.

It will be nice having a spydie that's not all mucked up with clip holes all over the place :p

1000% agree with you on this.

IMO, they should have used the wire clip like on the Sage and tapped it for tip-up carry, left or right side.

I'm also very happy with the absence of a clip. If a knife is small, I find a clip to interfere too much with the grip and the knife to be extra easy to loose if clipped to the pocket. When the clip is removed, the holes leave the knife looking like swiss cheese (like the Balance) or the screws stand out from the scales (like the Chaparral). I'm looking forward to this knife.

Knives of this size I like to carry in the pocket, sans clip. I agree with you, Cisco - after removing the clips from a bunch of my small Spydies (e.g., Dragonfly, Chicago, Walker), I really dislike looking at the holes.

I'm glad the Air will be clean as a whistle...

Between this and the re-release of the Terzuola, I'm set for this year :)

Can't ask for much more than silver twill, titanium, and CPM-M4 in a small, lightweight package. Fantastic little knife - pocket clip or no pocket clip.

+1, I think that wire clip is functional, yet still looks classy.
IMHO, Spyderco has only ever made one classy looking clip, the one on the C27 Jess Horn, and even it would have been better looking without one. The best you can say about any of the clips Spyderco has used is that they look ok on a tactical folder where looks don't count for much anyway. But wire, stamped steel, or stamped steel with cutouts, they all look like crap on any knife striving for a more refined look.

I just bought one. Couldn't be happier. Spyderco really hit a home run with this one.

Now I hope Spyderco makes an XL version of the knife. Something between current size and the larger Bradley.

I'm surprised I don't see more talk about this one. This is pretty much the only knife I think I might purchase in the next year. I think it would make a great companion piece to the m4 military.

This knife is too small for a clip. This knife would go in my pocket next to my clipped knife. This would be a slipjoint replacement. It would be a great little gentleman's folder to compliment your "modern" knife.
