Spyderco aluminum Massad Ayoob knife valued as much as g10 grips?

Well I was looking at a used G10 Ayoob and my buddy told me he would be willing to sell his original Ayoob aluminum handle knife. I can't seem to find any info on the, other than they are slippery. Are they worth as much as the g10 knives?

IMHO, a PE original Ayoob in NIB condition would probably be worth more to a collector than the G-10 Sprint version. For a used knife, or one being purchased as a user, it's really a matter of personal taste. The steel is the same in both, VG-10, so no real choice there. If you want SE you have to go with the older one, but for PE the relative "worth" comes down to whether you like Almite coated aluminum or G-10 better.
 
Grip tape is your friend. :) I'd probably buy one for $60.00 and apply some grip tape to the sides.

I would bet it is worth twice as much. Still cheaper than spirit run, though.

And aluminium one is the "real, true" Massad. I'm not a fan of spirit run after the years.
