Hey guys, I'm looking for a new EDC and have narrowed it down to the Ambitious or Persistence. I've looked up reviews and the Ambitious looks oddly wide due to the thumb hole. Does anyone have comparison pictures?

I believe one is 2.25 inch blade and the other is 2.75 inch blade which is the major difference between the two.

Blade size is all. Both 8cr13mov steel. If it were me, I'd go with the Tenacious. I think it's the ideal blade length, but the Persistence is a good size as well. Tenacious > Persistence > Ambitious

Not my pictures but hopefully you'll find it helpful:

I own the Persistence. It's an OK knife. It was one of my first "modern" knives. If I had it to do all over again, I would skip the cheap steel, save my money, and buy something that will actually hold an edge for a while... like a Sage (I don't own, but wish I'd saved my money for). The one that I got had a LOT of issues that I had to work on to get the knife to an acceptable level of usefulness. The Zulu is a different shape and much more expensive, but is so much more comfortable to use and has MUCH better steel. Have fun and good luck with your choice. Post pics no matter what you decide.

This is one of the things I was worried about. I've heard the steel used in these series rusts easily.

I would love to get a Sage since it also has carbon fiber which appeals to me. Unfortunately it's out of my budget for now.

Another recommendation given to me was the Spyderco Cat... I've seen a variation with CF handle and given the blade material is 440C it's a bit more lucrative.

Anyone know where I can get one?

I have both the Persistence and Tenacious. I like them both a lot, but can't see myself carrying anything smaller than the Persistence. The Tenacious is almost too big for me to EDC.

Of the Chinese Spydies, I carry the Persistence the most. The Tenacious proved to be bigger and heavier than what I prefer. Eventually, you'll get a Para 2 and be ruined for life. :)
