I just posted a review for this knife and I wanted the WSS forum in particular to see it.

I think the Aqua Salt is a great outdoors knife, that judging from the lack of attention it's received here has been going unnoticed by some.

Why do I like it?

-Super tough, rust proof steel
-Cutting edge goes right up to the handle
-Comfortable, super grippy handle
-Very well made, versatile sheath
-Very light-weight

Check it out, would make a great canoe knife I'd imagine.

I meant to post this in this post rather than the actual review post, sorry!

Right with you brother,

here is a review I did for Tactical Knives Magazine a while back

This is mine as of recent:

Joezilla, nice looking edge on your Aqua Salt. Are you sharpening it flat to the stone? I lay mine flat on the stone then raise it just the slightest bit, but I've thought about just going flat with it. Nice review by the way, first time I've seen it.

Very nice detailed review. I'm definately a Spyderco fan but I prefer their folders. That is probably one of their nicer fixed blades though IMO.

That'd be a pretty good knife for an emergency kit/BOB - it's not like it would rust away at the bottom of the bag!

I tooke the bevel off with a belt sander so it was a little bit convexed, thanks!

The Aqua Salt is one of the most useful knives that Spyderco has come up with in a long time.

Agreed. I plan on getting some more Aqua Salts this year and I'll definitely be using one for a BOB.
