So I guess there wasn't anything new or interesting in the Spyderco Booth at the blade show huh. Or is it all top secret, all the Spyderfanatics who got to the booth were allowed to see the new toys and then had there minds wiped clean by alien technology. If anyone manged to see the Spyderco booth and survive with mind intact please give us poor schleps who couldn't go a report

Thanks

There are alot of new things coming out of Spyderco!! There were no pix allowed, so I followed that rule! It was awesome to see so many new and just awesome knives. It was also wicked cool to handle the BG-42 & CF Military!! WOWIE, wow, WOW to that one!! All I can say is that Spyderco is going to be getting a bunch of MY money!!
It was also wonderful to get to me Sal & his wife Gail, Joyce, and Eric, and I believe Kelley was the other woman's name that was there. It was a thrill to meet them, and an honor!! They are all such wonderful folks. Thank you to the entire Spyderco crew for making my FIRST Blade so special!!

Thanks you guys, I didn't expect photos but I would love to hear some impressions on tuff and auto and is the bg42/cf mili a liner lock? Any cool new fbs other then the Schemps and lil Perrin?

edgetrip - Was some prototype fixed blades by Jerry Hossum. Same design but 3 different lengths.

Is it just an unwritten rule about the pictures or what? What if you ran up and just snapped a pic or two? Do they take your camera or something?

I am sure you could manage to get pics but Sal/Spyderco request that noneare taken and those of us here have a lot of respect for the company and the people involved so are happy to follow there request. Well maybe everyone isn't "happy about it" but abide due to that level of respect.

Hossom fixed blade protos, excellent! I am gonna go out on a limb here and guess these aren't utility knives?

What he said. If Sal asks, it would be incredibly rude and disrespectful not to oblige, especially considering how considerate Sal/spyderco is of their customers.

Yes, the Carbon Fiber Military is a linerlock per photo at NG today.

Best,
