Excited to see there will be a Spyderco booth at the annual NRA meeting this year in Dallas.
Anyone else going?
Never get to attend shot show, so this will be my first time seeing a Spydie booth. What shall I buy?

Big thanks to Sal, Eric and crew!

Well I don't think they actually sell anything when they are at trade shows. They are just there for show. I hope to be there to see them.

For what it's worth, I went to the 2018 NRA convention in Dallas and there were lots of booths selling lots of things. In fact I bought a Trailmaster at the Cold Steel booth and a diamond plate from the Eze Lap booth, among other items. The gun makers and sellers probably can't sell anything on the spot, but the other vendors can, unless of course the rules have changed.

Don't know how it is elsewhere but every gun show has just turned into a knife & jerky show in CA.

And the knives offered for sale are mostly 2nd rate at that

Can't even buy ammo there now & it's a mystery to me why they still hold them & why people bother going to them anymore. 🤷

They can if they want to.

The NRA meeting isn’t a typical gun show. More of a gun exhibition with knives and accessories for sale. The gun companies are showing off their new and current products. There are guest speakers, as well as the annual NRA meeting. Many well known knife companies are there, as well as some you haven’t heard of. It’s a great time for gun, knife and 2nd amendment enthusiasts.
Glad to have Spyderco there with us.

I'm a Life Member of the NRA but have never been to one of their annual meetings.

No doubt there will be better gun representation at such meetings but are knives/guns & other products actually bought/sold there or is it just a venue where manufacturers can showcase/show off their products?

The last one I attended, the knives and other products were for sale. Guns are exhibition only. No selling.
Search NRA Annual Meeting and they have an exhibitor’s list you can look at.
By the way, your avatar is great.

Well, now I have an additional reason to drive to the DFW area in May. Actually going is not certain, but, it could happen. Passing through Atlanta, GA, during the Blade Show is not a certainty, either, but, making it to at least one of the two would be nice.
