Just finished the AC and electrical rough in on a new house using this spydie I got the other day. This thing absolutely shreds! The longer bit of plain edge at the tip comes in handy, enough of a point to stab duct and other materials without being so pointy that it stabs your arm as if you used, hypothetically, a CRK Inkosi or fillet knife for duct work
The handle is one of the most comfortable in hand with the molded grip and textured g10, in pocket this thing is not so comfortable because it is large, full stainless liners make it heavy, textured g10 grips, etc. just look at it... however I carried a cold steel recon 1 for the longest time so it doesn't bother me, but you know, heads up it ain't a Delica. Granted, I believe this knife was designed more to be in a pouch on a rescue swimmers vest/ MOLLE vest and the like and this is a knife where everything adding weight adds strength as in it's not just a large knife cause edgy teenagers at a flea market will buy it.
Auto button is pronounced and easy to find, it's a button but the way they milled it out grips just like your normal spyder hole, safety is easy to use and very obvious about where it is and if it's on or off when you're not looking at it.
H1 is a great user steel if it is serrated, the plain edge really doesn't hold up in this steel for a work day, but serrated just keeps on shredding/ cutting! (by design)
As large as it is I'd say it fits the spyderco bill where it cuts like a larger blade, super good ergos, no unnecessary weight for the application, solid/ no play lockup, auto function fires hard like if you don't hold it like a tool it might jump out your hand!
