Spyderco Ayoob qusetion

I just discovered that Spyderco is going to produce a knife designed by Massad Ayoob. Does anyone know what this knife will look like and when it will be released? I hope it looks better than the M.O.D. Razorback. That is one ugly knife!

Shootist - Mas just sent the protos back after his "testing" so we're not too far off. The Ayoob was scheduled as one of the new in Y2k pieces.

As to the appearance, I would say that most would consider it "ugly" simply because it's a Spyderco. I think this one might be particularly "ugly" because Mas wanted a "straight wrist" bend in the knife. We decided that a "thumb rest" would be more efficient than serrations, so this is one weird "looking" knive.

Keeping in mind that function is rated higher than "looks" with Spyderco, you'll probably have to close your eyes when you enjoy the Ayoob.

Is this new Ayoob design able to cut? Unlike his Masters of Defense design, which is more of a 'piercer'. Does anyone have any pics?
