Spyderco/Bagwell

Hey Mr. Glesser,
I was looking through some old issues of "Fighting Knives" magazine and saw the story were Spyderco was supposed to collaborate with Bill Bagwell on a bowie knife. It even showed a picture of Mr. Bagwell holding a small bowie saying it was a prototype.

What ever became of that project? And what were some of specs as far as ya'lls intention with the finished product?

I'm asking because I think that would have been a REALLY cool collaboration.

Bagwell moved to france, and is now known as "Fred Perrin"

We had a design for a 7" blade length bowie that was designed by Bill. Bird's beak handle design, VG-10 was planned.

We took a long time to get the model ready for production. Bill got tired of waiting for us and cancelled the project. That's when he went with his project with another manufacturer.
