Spyderco Baliyo Problem, help please?

Hey everyone! I'm back with a question on my brand new Spyderco Baliyo (USA, Fisher space pen.) I just got it, and I wanted to see how you change the pen refill, and I twisted the cap to the right. When the cap came off, I simply put it back on and twisted to to the left. Surprisingly, the cap never screwed back on, it just keeps endlessly screwing. It won't come off either. I would like to find a fix to at least get the cap back on before having to send it in to the company. Thanks for any help provided!
 
Update: I was able to fix it by putting the brass ring in a vice and twisting the cap. Thanks if you read this thread!
