The responses to my question in the other thread on the fixed-blade Benchmade Griptilian remind me of a fixed blade from Spyderco, the Bill Moran. The springy rubbery handle of that knife has a round profile and very comfortable to hold, and the knife itself is light too (3oz.) The steel is VG-10 and the price is reasonable. You can get it for less than US$80 in retail. For those who have never tried it this knife is worth a look.
