Anyone here got a Blue Almite Walker? I ordered one today and was wondering what your opinions are on this nice looking little knife. It seems to fit my bill perfectly as it is small and has a VG-10 blade, which seems to be alot of people's favorite.

Nice knife, not perfect for me for 3 reasons- 1) I wish it didnt have the cut out on the back side, 2) also I wish it had thumb grooves on the spine behind the spyder hole and 3) I wish the clip did not ride so high. But yes, the size is right, materials excellent, very useful blade shape, overall I like it.

I had one of the original aluminum Walkers...but eventually sold it. Looks to be exactly the same...so I'll comment on the ergos.

Better than the old Zytel Walkers when opening as the tang doesn't hit your finger as much.

Nice size...elegant. I like the blade shape...a lot.

Scales will be slick and hard to hold...but then...it's a gent's folder.

The main thing I disliked however, was that the pocket clip allowed waaaaayyy too much of the knife to stick out. Kept catching on things and almost getting pulled out. The same looks to be true of the new model.

I really, for the life of me, do not understand why Spyderco recognizes the need for discretion (with their great number of small knives) and then blows the discretion by having clips which force the knife to ride much higher than need be. It's a shame...and doesn't really make sense to me.

Anyway, despite the issues with the clip...I'll probably buy one of these and just remove the clip and carry it in my pocket. It's a great size...and one of my all times Spydie designs.....

I just ordered one of these as well. I can't wait!!

A nice thread w/ great pic's posted on the Spyderco page here on Bladeforums.
Got mine today, how about you? This is a very nice looking little knife. Looks pretty well made also. The only thing I might have liked better is if they had put a little Spyderco emblem on the handle somewhere. Of course then you'd probably have a few people saying "if only they wouldn't have put that Spyderco emblem on the handle". ;)

I don't like the extra cutout either. I think that kind of ruined it for me because I see it being one of those things that bothers me and then I just end up selling it.
