Not much to say. Liked it so much I bought 3 Custom Chinese folders from Bob Lum.

The Lum Chinese is my favorite Spyderco and my EDC. The wide leaf blade handles box cutting, office chores, food prep, rope cutting, etc. with complete aplomb. The VG-10 is excellent and holds a sharp but slightly toothy edge.

I can't say enough good about this knife. You need one.

Spyderco is known for their overall excellent quality ;) I have the Lum
Chinese on my "to get" list ( but it's not at the top (YET!)) The leaf shaped blade lends itself well to utility ( the Chinese peasant(s)( yes they have'em in the "worker's paradise" ;)) knife has a blade of similar dimension(s). Quite useful.
I hear there's a G-10 version out.
I say, GO FOR IT! ;)

G10 Lum? Where?

I love mine. Fantastic slicer as everybody says. A little to pretty to use though :(

It's unanimous. Get one.

yeah, at first, when i saw the knife in a catalog, it didn't really catch my eye. but it started to grow on me more and more! now it's on my "to get" list too! =P but i need to pay attention to my latest spree haul, EKI Mini-Commander, Al Mar SERE 2k and Shrike. ^_^ But i definitely hafta get me a Spyderco soon (everyone loves em, don't know why i still haven't gotten one, but when I do, the Lum would have to be it)

Great knife! And you've hear it all...

Hey DJ,

I've been carrying one around every day for about 2 months now. Truly a wonderful knife. I wasn't crazy about it the first time I saw a picture of it. But every time I saw it, it grew on me. Now that I've carried it around for a while I thing it's a beaut!

Came very sharp out of the box. Holds an edge very well. It doesn't feel like a real heavy-use knife, but it does a lot of everyday cutting chores very well. Was a little stiff to open and close at first, but is fine now.

I think you would find a LC to be an amusing and entertaining addition to your collection...

I carry mine (green numbered #512 or blue unnumbered, depending on mood) when my dear wife forces me to put on suit, tie and to do not blaspheme in public – in another words on extremely special events. I never miss an opportunity to brag showing this knife and if nobody says “Wow, it’s sweeet!” I consider the evening wasted and what I’m doing here as well? ;)
