Spyderco box - black/gold/red vs black

I bought a Spyderco and it came with a black spider-webbed box. At a local store however, all the Spydercos come in a red/black box including the Delica that I bought with a black box. Is there any difference in these knives or just different packaging? Is one an older design? Thanks..

The Gold/Black/Red is just the current box design. The black with spider webbing to my knowledge was the box used immediately prior to that.
 
Might be worth noting that it was a rolling changeover that happened over a period of several months. It is possible to get a knife of one model in the older box that was manufactured after another model that came in the new box.
