I have a breeden rescue that I really enjoy, but it is hollow ground with a very thick spine. This makes It a rather poor slicer and causes it to bind in cardboard and thicker plastic. I'm thinking of havin it reground as close as possible to a full flat grind.
Do you folks think the VG10 can handle this? I use it for light to moderate cutting: lots of cardboard, plastic, rubber hoses, webbing, wood... I use different tools of I need to pry something. I'm thinking it would be nice to get it closer to being a pocket straight razor, maybe taking the entire spine down to the thickness of the mid-blade swedge, but that's probably pushing it too far. I have no experience with regrinds so I would send it out to one of the experts here.
What do you folks think?
By the way, this is an excellent knife! I highly recommend checking one out before they're all gone.
Thanks
