My hunting buddy just got one of the spyderco's for his birthday. The grinds on the blade looks perfect and the handle to metal fit is the best I have ever seen. I don't see how a knife could be made much better. I do not know if I like how the handles curve at the end. When I sell my 38 I plan on buying the spyderco or the Bark River bushcraft. I have never handled the bark river bushcraft knife. Which would you guys buy? I hope talfuchre has something to say on this. The spyderco was the sharpest knife I have ever felt. You had to be very carefull when you felt the edge!

might just boil down to what sort of grind you think works best for all those bushcraft tasks.

Both of them are essentially Scandivex. Do you like the handle of the Spyderco - do you want O1 steel or 3V? Have you handled the Bushcrafter?

All of this is very subjective.

I have the spyderco its a awsome blade ive used it all day in camp makeing spoon's, fuzz sticks and such

Spyderco Bushcraft has been my go to knife for almost a year and a half now, and I couldn't be more happy with it. Takes a edge, holds a edge, and has handled everything I've thrown at it. Just a all around good knife.

I've got one of the spydercos with the burl handles. It is awsome and is by far the sharpest knife that I own. I have a nice scar on my left hand to remind me of that. It is super comfortable to use and I plan on getting a g10 version for my wife. I have a lot of other knives, but this one is a cutter. The bark river may be sweet, but as far as I can tell, the Spyderco is perfect...

Love my Spyderco! It's become my favorite fixed blade.
Bark Rivers look good but i usually avoid anything convex. However if they made the Aurora in scandi i might be tempted.
