Thought I'd post some pics and info about my refurb job on my Spyderco bushcraft 2nd.

I am much indebted to the various people here who have posted advice in similar threads about how this might be approached; the information was very helpful.

Sorry I didn't take 'before' pics. I was fortunate in not having too much in the way of cracking; there was one one each side, which were obvious, but not too bad. They didn't pass through the rivets or lanyard hole.

First I soaked the handle in Minwax Wood Hardener for about 5 days. Then I filled the cracks with layers of Ultra-Thin Super Glue. Next I soaked the handle for a week in Danish Oil. Lastly I buffed it with carnuba wax.

I'm happy with how it turned out. Thanks to Sal for making these 2nds available.

Great work! Your results mirror mine. I still haven't had any trouble with 're-shrinkage' after soaking in oil and getting a couple coats of wax. I hope you see lots of use in yours.

Very nice. I have to say it looks like you lucked out compared to some of the others that have been posted. IMO, they maybe should have done 2nd's and 3rd's since the damage level was so varied.
